Katie Kime Unveils Texas-Inspired Wallpaper Collection with Austin Artist Kelly Colchin
This collection features watercolor prints inspired by wildflowers, road trips and Texas nostalgia
While Katie Kime’s wallpaper is known for boldness, with signature styles including the brand’s popular “City Toile” designs, botanical prints and vibrant, colorful motifs, her latest wallpaper collection offers a softer, narrative-driven perspective on life in Texas. Kime’s recent collaboration highlights the work of Austin-based artist Kelly Colchin, known for her hand-drawn illustrations and watercolor style. In this collection, designs reflect Colchin’s own experiences growing as a fourth-generation Texan.
“This is kind of my vision of a life lived in Texas, with little memories and moments — everything from wildflowers and road trips,” says Colchin. Road trips, in particular, became a central theme. “We take a lot of road trips in my family,” she explains. “That’s just one of the joys of growing up in Texas.”
Some patterns show these personal influences. One design, “Pearl Snap,” comes from a sentimental reference: “I modeled it after one of my dad’s favorite shirts. I had this pattern in my brain.” Throughout the collection, such references seamlessly translate into decorative patterns.

With the Kelly Colchin for Katie Kime collection, the goal was to translate personal memories and visual style into patterns that feel both lived-in and approachable. The collection features five original prints — Wildflowers, Road Trip, Friendship Bracelet, Pearl Snap and Fair Day — each evoking a sense of nostalgia.
The collaboration maintains Colchin’s illustrative style while adapting it for wallpaper. Each design is printed on demand, in-house, with eco-friendly inks with premium, smooth, matte paper. Designs are available in traditional and peel-and-stick formats.
