What

Dot Dot Dot Connect is welcoming award-winning Polish journalist and author of “How to Feed a Dictator,” Witold Szablowski, for an unforgettable week of events exploring the intersection of food, tyranny, history and politics.

The events include a discussion at the UT campus, a hands-on cooking workshop, a special “dictator’s dish” and book signing at a popular East Austin restaurant and a public library talk. They will blend storytelling, history, and cuisine.

Meet Polish award-winning writer and journalist Witold Szablowski at the Round Rock Public Library. He will share stories behind his fascinating reportages that look at the world through the eyes of personal cooks of the world’s infamous dictators. The meeting will be moderated by a veteran journalist and professor of journalism, Erna Smith. Cooking demonstrations of dishes from the book’s recipes will spice up the event, and the audience will be invited to taste them. Free admission. RSVP recommended
